Abstract

6. New approaches from the view of industry

Die Industrie hat zahlreiche Rodentizide (Antikoagulanzien der ersten und zweiten Generation sowie Sonstige) zugelassen. Es stehen somit ausreichend Produkte zur Ratten- und Mäusebekämpfung zur Verfügung.
Die Industrie berät u. a. Personen und Institutionen über die sachgerechte Anwendung von Rodentiziden und stellt Informationsmaterial zur Verfügung. Auf die Möglichkeit von Resistenzen wird hingewiesen.
Die Industrie steuert NICHT direkt den Verkauf von Rodentiziden hin zum Anwender. Der Ansatz, der Ausbreitung von Resistenzen durch die Anwendungsbeschränkung auf sachkundige Anwender vorbeugen zu wollen, ist falsch.

Abstract

The industry has numerous rodenticides (anticoagulants of the 1st and 2nd generation, as well as others) registered. There are plenty of products for rat and mouse control available. The industry offers advice to people and institutions about the proper use of rodenticides and provides information material. The possibility of resistance is noted.
The industry can and will NOT directly control the sale of rodenticides to the user. The approach, to try to prevent the spread of resistance by restriction of application to competent users only, is neither sensible nor will it succeed.
