Focus and Scope
The book series Dissertationen aus dem Julius Kühn-Institut publishes PhD theses, which were created within the frame of employments with the Julius Kühn Institute.
The main topics of the book series therefore are coming from the whole area of crop plant research, such as crop and soil science, plant protection, plant health, plant nutrition, stored product protection, plant breeding, bee protection or plant biotechnology.
In form and content the dissertations are closely aligned with the university’s PhD regulations and inputs from the referees. Only those PhD theses are published within the book series “Dissertationen aus dem Julius Kühn-Institut" that were approved by the respective university.
Peer Review Process
Since only university approved dissertations are published, an additional peer review by the Julius Kühn Institute does not take place.
Open Access Policy
This book series provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
