CONVISO^® SMART – ein neues System zur erfolgreichen Kontrolle von Ungräsern und Unkräutern in ALS-toleranten Zuckerrüben

Abstract

CONVISO SMART ist ein neuartiges System zur Kontrolle von Ungräsern und Unkräutern in ALS-Inhibitortoleranten Zuckerrüben. Das CONVISO SMART System basiert auf klassisch gezüchteten ALS-Inhibitortoleranten Zuckerrübensorten und dem Komplementärherbizid CONVISO.
CONVISO ist eine Kombination aus den bekannten Wirkstoffen Foramsulfuron und Thiencarbazone-methyl. Beide Wirkstoffe gehören zu Gruppe der ALS-Hemmer. Während Foramsulfuron vorwiegend blattaktiv ist, wirkt Thiencarbazone-methyl sowohl über das Blatt als auch über den Boden. Das Produkt ist als ölige Dispersion (OD) formuliert.
Die Zulassung des Produktes wurde mit einer Aufwandmenge von 1,0 L/ha als Einfachbehandlung und als Splittingbehandlung mit 2 x 0,5 L/ha für den Einsatz in ALS-Inhibitor-toleranten Zuckerrüben beantragt. Der Behandlungszeitraum liegt im Nachauflauf zwischen dem 1-Blatt und 4-Blattstadium der Unkräuter, speziell von Chenopodium album sowie dem 2-Blatt- und 8-Blattstadium der Kultur. Die Einführung des Systems in Deutschland ist für das Jahr 2018 geplant.
Das Wirkungsspektrum umfasst die wirtschaftlich wichtigsten Ungräser- und Unkrautarten, inklusive Polygonum- und Chenopodium-Arten, die in Zuckerrüben vorkommen. Zudem werden erfolgreich Problemunkräuter (wie z.B. Mercurialis annua und Aethusa cynapium) bekämpft, die mit den bisherigen Standardmischungen nicht ausreichend kontrolliert werden können und oftmals den Zusatz von weiteren Herbiziden erfordern.
Die Toleranz der Sorte gegenüber CONVISO ist stark ausgeprägt, wie die Ergebnisse der Selektivitätsversuche zeigen. Durch die vollständige Toleranz der Sorte gegenüber CONVISO und dadurch ausbleibenden negativen Herbizideffekten kann das volle Ertragspotenzial ausgeschöpft werden. 

CONVISO® SMART – a new solution to control monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in ALS-tolerant sugar beets

CONVISO SMART is a new system to control monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in ALS-inhibitor tolerant sugar beets. This system consists of an ALS-inhibiting herbicide and a sugar beet variety which is tolerant against the complementary herbicide due to classic breeding mechanisms.
The herbicide CONVISO is a combination of the two active ingredients foramsulfuron and thiencarbazonemethyl. Whereas foramsulfuron is the leaf active compound, thiencarbazone-methyl is leaf as well as soil active. The product will be formulated as an oily dispersion (OD).
The registration was requested with an application rate of 1 x 1 l/ha or 2 x 0.5 l/ha in ALS-inhibitor tolerant sugar beets. Application should be done from BBCH 10 – 14 of the weeds, especially of Chenopodium album as well as from BBCH 12 – 18 of the sugar beet. The estimated introduction of this system on the German market will be 2018.
CONVISO is well active against the most important weeds in sugar beets, including Polygonum and Chenopodium species. Furthermore several difficult to control weeds as Aethusa cynapium and Mercurialis annua will be controlled by CONVISO. The addition of special herbicides to control those difficult weeds will no longer be necessary.
The tolerance of the variety against CONVISO is very strong, which will be shown by the results of the weed free selectivity trials. Due to the high tolerance of the variety against CONVISO and the not occurring of negative herbicide effects, the full yield potential can be utilized.
