Virus aus kranken Reben läßt sich ohne apparativen Aufwand anreichern, indem die rebeigenen Tannine zur Proteinfällung benutzt werden und das Virus anschließend durch polyäthylenglycolhaltigen Puffer wieder freigesetzt wird.
Preparation of extracts for the serological assays of virus in grapevine leaves
The use of native leaf tannins allows a selective isolation of virus from infected grapevine leaves. The virus particles are first precipitated by the tannins and then resoluted by the use of a buffer containing polyethylene glycol.
