Evaluation method of the parasitic apical part of shoots in Vitis vinífera L.
By comparing growth of normal and of non-functional phloem leaves during a 24-h-period at the bloom stage, the degree of parasitism of each leaf was studied in Garnacha variety.
Results show that a leaf behaves as parasite when it is at one of the 10 first nades from the apex, and, in terms of age, when it is less than 20 days old.
