The new fertilization regulation for Germany came into force on 02.06.2017 regulating the calculation of required nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) fertilization. For this, data on N-demand, N- and P-content and fresh matter yield of medicinal and aromatic plant crops were gathered from literature and practical sources and were tabulated by the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture (LfL). Many data were available, but for a high number of cultivated MAP crops data were lacking from reliable or representative sources or were not available at all and had to be estimated. A start has been made with the published basic data and the accompanying notes. Further data and more consolidated data on nutrient demand and uptake are highly needed.
