SALSA® (Ethametsulfuron-methyl 75 % WG) A novel selective herbicide for oilseed rape in Europe
SALSA® is a novel selective herbicide in oilseed rape for the control of important broadleaved weeds postemergence in fall. EU registration is applied for at 25 g/ha + surfactant (Trend 90). The spectrum of activity includes many difficult to control weed species like all cruciferous weeds, as well as Geranium spp .. SALSA can be applied early post-emergent (from BBCH 10), in mixture or in sequence with common soil herbicides. Based on its weed control spectrum (no grasses) only limited additional selection pressure on ALS resistant grass weed populations is expected in the typical oilseed rape crop rotations.
