Observation of male sexual types in the self-fertilized progeny of the variety Muscat Ottonel (Vitis vinifera L.)
Studying sexual segregation in self-fertilized lst generation progenies among 6 varieties of Vitis vinifera L. showed that one of them, Muscat Ottonel, exhibited morphologically male types. These observations do not agree with the classical genetic patterns of sexual segregation in grapevine.
The observed facts do not seem to be due to cytokinins, but rather are to be attributed to the genom of the cultivar Muscat Ottonel.
