First report of <em>Phelipanche ramosa</em> on tomatoes (<em>Solanum lycopersicum</em>) in Austria

The branched broomrape Phelipanche ramosa (= Orobanche ramosa) is the only species of the genus Phelipanche with a wide host range and has a worldwide distribution. Phelipanche ramosa is in Austria extincted except a little population in Carinthia. In july 2010 the occurrence of Phelipanche ramosa on tomatoes in greenhouses was first detected for Austria.
