Abstract

Disease assessment of the resistance of cereal cultivars to various leaf and ear diseases requires estimations of disease severity that are as accurate as possible. Assessment of the percentage of diseased area can be practised with the given web application based on constructed drawings of cereal diseases. Thus, accuracy, comparability and reproducibility of disease assessments can be increased after a short time of practising. The web application is available on the webpage of the Julius Kühn-Institute – Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants.
