First report of <em>Asteromella pruni-mahaleb</em> comb. nov. (syn. <em>Phyllosticta pruni-mahaleb</em> Pass.) on <em>Prunus armeniaca</em>

Abstract

In October 2012 the fungus Phyllosticta pruni-mahaleb Pass. was detected on withering leaves of Prunus arme­niaca Aprikose von Nancy. The character of this fungus points definitely to the genus Asteromella. Therefore this fungus has been transferred to this genus. Besides this is the first report on Prunus armeniaca.
