Abstract

The interlocking of the testing of plant protection equipment and the authorization of pesticides concerns many areas of plant protection and is the prerequisite for a safe and environmental friendly application of pesticides. There have been quick and effective reactions to suddenly and unexpected occurring incidents like the bee incident in 2008, which showed the importance of the collaboration of all authorities responsible for the authorization of pesticides and for the testing of plant protection equipment.
