Austrian soybean production has become more important in recent years. Among other challenges we have to deal with pathogens on Glycine max.
Plant Material was taken from 67 fields on 59 habitats between 15.6.2015 and 17.9.2015. Leaves, petioles, pods and beans were analysed. Fungi found were mainly determined by morphological features of fruiting bodies, conidia and mycelia. Diaporthe species were tested with PCR additional.
In total eleven different species of plant pathogenic fungi were determined on soybeans in production sites in Austria. Two of them are for the first time recorded on Glycine max for Austria: Rhizoctonia solani, which causes Rhizoctonia leaf blight (Hissek et al., 2015) and Phoma sojicola, which triggers Ascochyta leaf blight (Hissek and Bedlan, 2016).
